Mexico City on July 23rd, 2018- Grupo Vidanta, the leading developer of resorts and tourist infrastructure in Mexico and Latin America, reaffirmed its positioning in the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) in Mexico by hosting the World Meetings Forum at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta. Leaders, vendors, organizers, and industry associations gathered to be part of the incredibly productive event under the slogan "Passion for Meetings."
From July 17th to July 19th, The Grand Vidanta Convention Center (first in its kind in the region and the largest in the Riviera Nayarit) hosted presidents of associations from all over the world to exchange information and discuss crucial trends in the MICE sector. Attendees included Pablo M. Weil, president of the Latin American Federation of Congress Organizer (COCAL) and Sherrif Karamat, president and CEO of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA ); as well as key figures such as Eduardo Chaillo, a lauded industry expert and CEO of Meetings and Tourism Specialists LLC (who for 12 years served as Executive Director of Tourism for meetings of the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico ( CPTM)).
Additionally, during this sixth gathering of the World Meetings Forum, Grupo Vidanta implemented an innovative program in the MICE sector where people with disabilities participated as guides of the event. This initiative reflects the inclusion policies regularly carried out in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility actions.
