Mexico City, March 2nd, 2020 – On February 28th, the Great Place to Work® Institute held its annual award ceremony that distinguishes the best companies to work for in Mexico. During this ceremony, Grupo Vidanta—the leading developer of luxury resorts and tourism infrastructures in Mexico and Latin America—was recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Mexico in the “Large Company” category, as it is made up of more than 5,000 collaborators. This is the 10th consecutive year that Grupo Vidanta has been recognized.

The certification process carried out by the Great Place to Work® Institute is considered one of the most important and comprehensive in the world because it conducts rigorous analysis of employee opinions and corporate culture. For this reason, the 10 consecutive years in which Grupo Vidanta has been recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Mexico, showcase the company as an exemplary employer and positions it as a reference in the tourism industry.

“Being recognized for ten consecutive years as one of the best places to work in Mexico not only fills us with pride, but also makes us increasingly committed to the development and growth of our employees,” said Manuel Becerra, Grupo Vidanta’s Planning and Organization Development Director. “Our philosophy at Grupo Vidanta is to inspire generations of happiness, creating the extraordinary. We know that we could not achieve something like this without offering the same for our people in their workplace. This is what we work for every day,” he concluded.

The countless programs and initiatives that contributed to Grupo Vidanta being recognized as one of the best places to work for in Mexico include a wide range of services to employees, including: air-conditioned transportation; chefs dedicated to the quality of food being served; and a hotel simulator that allows its employees to learn new skills and abilities, as well as serving as a successful business model.

Grupo Vidanta has also implemented a comprehensive training program for supervisors that has resulted in 40% of its internal leadership promotions to date—an exceptional feat in the hospitality industry.

Aligned with the values of respect, credibility, and fairness that the Great Place to Work® Institute embodies, Grupo Vidanta continues to inspire generations of happiness at its resorts by holding the highest standards of service, fostering inclusion, and creating initiatives that enhance and dignify the quality of work.
