Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, November 20, 2018 - Grupo Vidanta—the leading resort and tourism infrastructure developer in Mexico and Latin America—is upholding its commitment to protect and promote the interests of the community and the environment by contributing a total of $30 million MXN for its Urban Image Project. This new initiative in partnership with the government of the state of Nayarit and the City Council of Bahía de Banderas aims to ensure the quality of public land for the residents who live in and around Las Jarretaderas.
With this effort, the Urban Image Project seeks to improve and nurture the public space, benefiting more than six thousand local inhabitants. The project will include bicycle lanes, sidewalks, pedestrian paths, halls, and outdoor furniture, as well as an important investment in green areas and sustainability. These new spaces and public buildings, which will house different activities, will help attract visitors to the town, offering short, medium and long-term social benefits.
In its ongoing goal to have the company’s corporate values promote a high quality of life for employees, members of the surrounding communities and society in general, Grupo Vidanta is constantly implementing initiatives to positively impact the social and economic development of Mexico, its people and the environment, all while respecting and complying with all the policies and laws stipulated by the government.
